Oceania (sometimes Oceanica) is a geographical, and often geopolitical, region consisting of numerous lands—mostly islands in the Pacific Ocean and vicinity. The term "Oceania" was coined in 1831 by French explorer Dumont d'Urville. The term is also sometimes used to denote a continent comprising Australia Continent and proximate Pacific islands, and is one of eight terrestrial ecozones.

The boundaries of Oceania are defined in a number of ways. Most definitions include Australia, New Zealand and all or part of the Malay Archipelago. Ethnologically, the islands that are included in Oceania are divided into the subregions of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.

Are there study abroad opportunities in Europe or in Oceania for health care students?
Q. Seems like all the health care opportunities are in either Africa, Latin America or the Carribean, which isn't too hard to believe but does anyone know of any program that I can study abroad in Europe or somewhere in Oceania that is geared towards health care students? Thanks, the help is much appreciated

A. in germany there are a lots of opportunities for health care studens. its called "pflegemanagement" or "pflegewissenschaften". the reason for the high number of health care students is the system change from the dual system to the international standard. you can find some of them in www.arbeitsagentur.de, the site of the national working agency. but its easier to find a job at the hospitals themselves, mainly the hospitals with contact to universities.

In an interdimensional war between Oceania and the Holy Brittanian Empire, who would win?
Q. Let's just say that parrallel universes exist and there's two of them. One universe contains the world of 1984, by George Orwell, and Ocenia has reached its peak. The other universe contains the world of Code Geass where the Holy Britanian Empire has reached its peak. Not lets say String Theory is actually proven correct and one day, two of these "strings" collided causing a rip between the two universes and combining them into one. Which nation will win in an all out war?

How did the dvlpmnt of isolated regions (Mesoamerica&Oceania) differ from the societies of Europe,Asia,Africa?
Q. What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in isolation?

A. It's different for every society, but there are some general trends. Civilizations that were more connected to other ones generally had more trade, more prosperity, and more borrowing of ideas and technology. Civilizations that were more isolated tended to have less development and prosperity, and were less able to trade goods and ideas with the rest of the world. Some well-connected societies: Mesopotamia, Greece, northern India, Egypt. These societies, while all different, had a great deal of trade with their neighbors, lots of scientific development, and generally were more prosperous. Some poorly-connected societies: Mayans, Tasmania, Japan in the sakoku period, Canary Islands. These societies generally had less trade with their… [cont.]
