I work for a very small, relatively new law firm in Boston, Massachusetts. We get most of our clients from lawyer referrals, and that is awesome, but we need to bring in a few more quality clients per month. I have been put in charge of this task, with virtually no budget, and I am hoping somebody has some proven / creative ideas. Thanks! If you specialize in a certain industry or field, then find out what trade magazines and newspapers cater to that group, and then offer to write an article about some legal aspect of that business. They love free or low cost content. For example, if your specialty is small business commercial contracts, find the magazines that publish to them. Also if you have a court case with an interesting (and public) outcome that you won, try to get a local newspaper to write about it (maybe from a "don't try this at home" angle). You will need your client's permission, of course. Or, try to find activities that are complementary to what you offer, and team up to offer joint services with an established provider. There is a Pharmacist in a Law Firm that will be coming to my class to talk to us about his job... I'm supposed to ask some good questions, but I have no idea what to ask! Help, please! Thank you very much Asked by S.o. - Mon Apr 7 16:42:16 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Interesting question. Is the person a pharmicist who works in the same location as a law firm? Or a lawyer who specializes in Pharmacy mistakes? Pharmacy errors and prescription errors can cause tragic personal injury and wrongful death. If you or a loved one has suffered from a pharmacy or prescription error, you may be entitled to compensation for your injury. You need a personal injury lawyer experienced with pharmacy and prescription cases. Q. Is it good for a law firm specializing in family and child law to advertise in sites like multiply or facebook? or will that lessen credibility? would you hire a lawyer from there? Asked by sahelanthropus - Tue Mar 31 03:26:22 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. At one time, advertising was considered outsidde the pale for law firms, but today, the canons of the ABA allow it. There are more productive sources of business than multiply or facebook, however. One of the best ideas, for instance, is free seminars in different locales. Promote to family and child welfare specialists in the public sector, who will hand out your flyers to their clients. There's a pretty good (free) source of creative marketing ideas that a lot of professionalss--doctors, dentists, lawyers, CPAs, etc.-- use. It's a blog on direct marketing. Here is their site.
